The 360 Rule
Alternative weapon rules for the Imperial BaneBlade

The BaneBlade is a mean machine, well according to the Imperial doctrine it is… in reality a single BaneBlade is a real easy target to hit and destroy. Though they can give out quite a bit of firepower (eight) the range if quite low for such a points heavy machine, 45cm.

The 360 rule is quite simple, 8 times 45 is 360, therefore considering the firepower multiplied by the range equals 360 then you can change the combination prior to the game (and with the consent of your opponent). Therefore possible combinations are

FP

Range

4 90cm
6 60cm
8 45cm
12 30cm

The rationale is that before a battle a BaneBlade crew may decide what ammunition they will carry, more lighter long ranged shells, or heavier more damaging short ranged ordanance.

It is not advisable to go above 90cm or below 30cm ranges as this starts to get a bit silly, FP 120 at 3cm for example.
