The rules for Feral Orks can be found in the Warhammer 40000 Annual 2004.
I quite like the idea of Boar Boyz I certainly use them in my Epic Ork army, but have always been a little wary of the price of the Warhammer Fantasy Battle Orc Boar Riders which are £6 or even £7 each! Despite coming up with a cheaper solution I did go out and buy a Warhammer Fantasy Orc Boar Rider.
In the end though I didn't use the WHFB Orc; so using a spare pair of legs from the Orc Warrior command sprue I decided I would model the rider in a similar style to my other Boar Boyz.

I painted the Boar in the same style as those.

I wanted the rider to have a spear and a Shoota, so I added the Shoota to the back and modelled a strap using green stuff.

It's not the most detailed green stuff scuplting you will see on the web, but it will do fine for my games.

I then gave the rider a spear.

I started off with a black undercoat and then do all the metallic bitz with a drybrush of tin bitz and chainmail.

more soon...
