In order to finish off the base I added some of Games Workshop's modelling sand to the areas of the base not covered by the resin ruins.

I do like the modelling sand, it has an interesting texture.

I gave the model a black undercoat, however as I removed it form the piece of wood I had placed it on when I sprayed it, it got a little stuck and as I pulled the model fell off the base and the left arm also broke off...

Well I put him back together again and covered the parts the spray did not reach with a coat of thinned Chaos Black.
