Sources
There are many sources that inspired these rules. Two of the most obvious were The Hunt for Red October and seaQuest DSV. Other sources include Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, Gerry Anderson's Stingray, the SubWar 2050 computer game.
Gaming inspiration comes from various sources, including West End Games' Assault on Hoth, Felix Enterprises' Reaching the Threshold, GZG's Full Thrust to name but a few.
