How do I mirror my iPad using AirPlay and an AppleTV?
One of the new features of iOS 5 is the ability to mirror your iPad (or iPhone 4S) on a big screen via an AppleTV.
Whatever is on your iPad, through AirPlay mirroring will appear on your big TV.
Double click the Home Button and swipe to the right.
Click the AirPlay button.
You will be presented with a choice of AirPlay devices. In this example I can see my Apple TV and my Airport Express (which I have named Front Room Express).
Select the Apple TV.
You will then see an additional option, Mirroring, turn this to ON.
What you see on your iPad will now be mirrored on your big screen via the Apple TV.
