Toast

Toast 7 Titanium for Mac

This document was last updated on the 24 January, 2007

Convert video files for use on Playstation Portable (PSP) using Toast 7

If you have recorded video using an eyeTV device, I have found that sometimes default PSP export for eyeTV often results in video files that do not play correctly or at all on a PSP and I have had better results using Toast.

Though this guide uses Toast 7, you can achieve the same results with Toast 8 and the process is very similar (if not the same).

I use a eyeTV 410 or eyeTV DTT which records the native Digital TV MPEG 2 stream direct to disc.

Export your eyeTV recording for Toast, this is the quickest method to export the video file.

Start Toast and click the video tab.

Drag the video file that you exported from eyeTV from Finder to Toast.

Select the video file.

Click the Export button.

This will bring up a new window.

Using the drop down dialogue, change the default DV setting to for PSP (Toast remembers the last export format you chose).

Toast will give a file name for the recording.

Do not change the file name.

Copy the converted file over to your PSP and press play. Remember when uploading video to a Memory stick for use on a PSP, to use the following folder

\MP_ROOT\100MNV01\
