How do I delete Personal Videos from my Google Nexus 7?

The Google Nexus 7 is a lovely Android tablet. One of the ways I have been using it, is adding video files and watching films on the move.

One of the limitations of my Nexus 7 is that it only has 8GB on onboard storage and as a result I do fill it up now and again.

I found a slight bug that caused me a bit of a headache, if you fill the Nexus 7 up too much, then certain functions fail to work. I had reached that limit and I needed to free up space.

However, two of the functions that stopped working, were USB connectivity and installing apps. As a result I couldn’t manage space via the desktop computer, nor could I install a third party file manager.

The way in which I play video files is through the Video app. However it isn’t possible to delete personal video files through the Video app.

The process for deleting personal video files is through the Gallery app.

Select the video album, select the appropriate video file and then tap the trash can.

This will then free up the space you need.
